Print Tomato Toaster Prep time: 10 mins Cook time: 15 mins Total time: 25 mins Serves: 2 A quick and easy bread toaster recipe, with tomatoes and onion Ingredients Tomato 1 Onion 1 Green chillies 1 Coriander leaves Salt Turmeric powder ¼ tsp Red chilli powder as per required Coriander powder ½ tsp Bread slices 6 oil 2 tsp Method Wash and chop tomato as fine as possible Peel onion and chop finely Add finely chopped green chillies, salt, turmeric powder, coriander powder, red chilly powder, coriander leaves and mash slightly Note:Many prefer this mixture to be cooked first and then used for sandwich, so in that case, first saute onion in little oil till light pink in colour, then add tomatoes, chillies, salt, turmeric powder, coriander powder and mix well.let it cook for 1-2 minutes Heat the griddle (Tawa) and pour some oil, place the little of onion-tomato mixture in between two slices of bread and put a steel plate (flat surface) on top of it.Put some weight (like heavy utensil) above it and cook the sandwich on low flame. One can also use the toaster maker used for cooking sandwiches Flip the sides and let it cook till bread is golden brown in colour Serve it hot with ketchup or chutney 2.2.1

Well, this one is a real favorite of my kid and so I can’t afford to give it a miss. Though it does not belong to Sindhi cuisine, but this recipe is highly altered to suit Indian palate and now packs of Maggie noodles are integral part of almost every kitchen. Print Maggie Noodles Prep time: 5 mins Cook time: 15 mins Total time: 20 mins Serves: 1 Ingredients One pack Maggie noodles Potato 1 Tomato 1 Onion 1 Carrot 1 small Peas just as much you want Green chilly Just a little Turmeric powder ¼ tspn Salt as per taste Oil 1 tspn Method In a pan or kadai, take a spoon of oil, add chopped potato and saute it for few seconds Then add chopped onions and carrots and saute it for some more time Add chopped or grated tomato, salt, turmeric powder, little of green chilly and mix well When vegetables are almost cooked add some water (approximately 1 and half cup of water per pack of maggie) Then add maggie masala and allow the mixture to boil Add boiled peas and break the maggie into quarters and add them in the boiling mixture Let it cook till all the water is absorbed Garnish it with fresh coriander leaves and serve immediately 2.2.1
