Absolutely brilliant and very informative piece Alka, in the end you gave a list of snacks which I would be most interested to try (pabhori, nakul etc.) good job that you have at least listed them so people living in far flung areas would at least remember (when the onslaught of junk snacks coming from non Sindhi cultures subsides). You would find that people always return to their roots no matter what and the best way to keep our roots alive is to preserve our traditions in writing. Please include the pictures and if possible recipes for nakul, pabhori, praghri and every other lovely Sindhi thing you have mentioned. Those of us who live in the West are most interested in the roots and our traditions because we have the non Sindhi things like cookies and other junk found every where. In the US if we go to a desi shop and find revris we buy them because its our connection to 'home'

Very well put. Thorough. Has covered most of the items but would still like to add many exotic preparations for which any sindhi would die for.
Dhebri-A bread made in folds & contains pure ghee as the main ingredient with red pepper powder added on and cooked slowly in the tawa ultimately coming out like a layered parantha, thoroughly enjoyed with rabri or plain tea even
